Our guidelines to help you enjoy your stay…

Travel restrictions to and from Northumberland were lifted on Monday 29 March 2021.

From Monday 12 April 2021, we re-opened for guests and visitors, when self-contained holidays and outdoor hospitality were able to re-commence. 

From Monday 17 May, as we move into Step 3, socialising indoors will be allowed following the “Rule of Six”, when a maximum of 6 people will be able to meet in a group, or two households.  This applies to indoor hospitality and self-contained accommodation.

We are very much looking forward to seeing you soon, and will be very happy to see everyone who visits the park enjoying their holidays.

Please remember: follow social distancing rules; limit how many different people you see socially over a short period of time; meet people outdoors where practical: meeting people outdoors is safer than meeting people indoors because fresh air provides better ventilation.

As always the safety of our guests and team members still remain our absolute priority, which is why we have worked hard to find a balance between offering the luxury experience you have come to expect from us, whilst implementing the health & safety procedures necessary to reduce the risk of infection.

We kindly ask that if anyone in your party is displaying symptoms of COVID19 prior to your departure from home, that you notify us immediately and do not travel.

Local relationships are important to us all, and some locals are understandably apprehensive about the potential impacts of returning visitors. They will need your reassurance demonstrated by your thoughtfulness when visiting Seahouses. Please note that the current government guidelines relating to social distancing apply in the park and around the local area.

Our procedures for hire accommodation, touring pitches and park facilities are as below. We will keep these under review, and amend and up-date them as required in line with government guidelines.

Park Reception

  • We kindly ask that only one member of your party enters the reception at a time.
  • Social distancing measures are in place, including floor markings and signage to guide you.
  • Key collection for our hire accommodation is in a new non-contact form.
  • Your welcome documentation and keys for your accommodation will have been sanitised.
  • Please do not arrive before your check-in time, as your accommodation may not be ready due to more vigorous and timely cleansing and sanitising process in place. We currently don’t have any facility to offer a waiting area.
  • A perspex screen is installed at the reception counter.
  • Hand sanitiser is also available for your use.
  • If any payments are required, we politely ask that, wherever possible, you use contactless payment.

Hire Accommodation

  • Our housekeeping cleaning standards have always been of the highest, but we have reviewed these in line with new guidance, and can reassure you all of the appropriate measures which will be in place to give you a safe, warm and friendly environment to relax and enjoy.
  • All accommodation will be ‘fogged’ using an antiviral, antibacterial mist killing 99.99% of bacteria and viruses prior to your arrival. This process was developed for deep cleaning in hospital operating theatres, and works by atomising a super strength disinfectant solution into a fine mist, and creates a complete cloud of disinfecting microscopic droplets. These droplets enter the atmosphere of the whole room being cleansed and help sanitise every aspect of the area, walls, ceilings, floors and surfaces. The disinfecting mist gets into every area, and parts that normal cleaning could never reach.
  • All linen, towels and bedding will be laundered at 70oC as recommended by the Government.
  • Anti-viral sanitiser and kitchen roll will be provided in your accommodation for continued use throughout your stay.
  • The current menu is available to view on the Ocean Club website. Please check latest information for opening times. A take-away service is available from The Ocean Club for food and drinks.
  • Online grocery orders can be delivered to your accommodation in the same way as if you were at home. You just need to know the number of your accommodation when placing your order. We are unable to accept deliveries for you, so you must be in your accommodation to take delivery. We suggest booking delivery after 5.00 pm on your arrival day or even the following morning.
  • We will be unable to store lost property found in our hire accommodation due to the health & safety risk to our staff, so we urge guests to double check their belongings before leaving their accommodation on their last day.
  • Due to additional and extensive cleaning measures now in place, we must stress the 10.00 am departure time, and are currently unable to offer a late check-out.
  • We have introduced a contactless ‘hire accommodation key drop-off’ point in Reception to leave your keys when you depart.
  • If you complete a comments card or need to report any breakages at the end of your stay, please leave the card on the dining table in your accommodation, rather than handing it in at Reception.
  • We are issuing Arrival and Departure Checklists in your welcome pack, which contain further details, including an emergency contact, should any member of your party display signs of Coronavirus during your stay.

Touring Pitches

  • We have always operated the facility for a contactless check in. We would encourage our touring guests to make use of this facility.
  • Your booking confirmation contains all the relevant information required to access the park
  • You will find your allocated pitch on your confirmation letter or email, without the need to come into reception.
  • This also includes the code for the barrier & shower block, and also your wifi codes.

Toilet, Shower, and Laundry Facilities

Communal facilities including washrooms, showers, toilets and indoor communal areas will re-open from Monday 17 May.

When these facilities re-open:-

  • These areas will have two deep cleans per day, one in the morning before 8.00 am and one in the afternoon between 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm.
  • The facilities will be ‘fogged’ after the morning clean using an antiviral, antibacterial mist killing 99.99% of bacteria following the morning clean, leaving the surfaces sterile for 18 hours after ‘fogging’.
  • A notice will display the time when the facilities have been fogged, and we kindly ask that you do not enter the facilities until 20 minutes after this time to allow for the process to complete. Failure to do so can compromise the safety and hygiene for those using these facilities.
  • We would ask that if you are able to use your own facilities in your unit, you do so as much as possible.
  • Please follow hand washing guidance, and whilst we provide soap and hand sanitiser, we also ask you to bring your own supplies of soap, hand sanitiser and cleaning products with you.
  • Signs will be in place as a reminder to maintain social distancing whilst out and about on all areas of the park.

The Ocean Club

Indoor hospitality will re-commence from Monday 17 May and we will continue to offer outdoor seating as well as take-away.  

 

  • We may look a little different, but we hope we have made it safe and any new instructions are easy to follow.
  • The facilities will be ‘fogged’ after the morning clean using an antiviral, antibacterial mist killing 99.99% of bacteria following the morning clean, leaving the surfaces sterile for 18 hours after ‘fogging’.
  • We have limited the capacity of guests within each of our departments and introduced one-way flows where possible around the building.
  • Please observe one way system by coming in through main entrance and leaving through the coffee shop via the dog entrance.
  • Social distancing measures including floor markings and signage are in place to guide you in the building.
  • Hand sanitiser is provided at the entrance and various other points around the club, which we politely request that all customers use every time they enter and leave the building.
  • Face masks must be worn on entry to the club and should only be removed while exercising or showering.
  • Before using leisure facilities, you will be required to show proof of stay on arrival at reception.
  • We would request contactless payment is used wherever possible.
  • Safety measures and sanitising regimes will be employed by our staff at all times.
  • All staff have passed a “COVID 19 best practices” certificate for returning to work.
  • All public areas will be sanitised regularly. Occasionally we may have to close some facilities to be able to re-sanitise them.
  • Our pool, jacuzzi and gym are open and we request you follow our new guidelines for booking appointments and time slots.  The steam room and sauna will re-open from Monday 17 May. 

The Coffee Shop

  • From Monday 17 May, our Coffee Shop is open daily for indoor hospitality, table service only, and we will continue to offer outdoor seating and take-aways from 9.00 am to 9 pm.
  • Last orders for food is 8.30 pm.  Last orders for drinks is 9.30 pm.
  • Our menu, take-away and Sunday lunch menu is available from the Ocean Club website
  • The “Rule of Six” or two households (where this constitutes no more than 6 people) applies for indoor hospitality, so we kindly ask that no more than 6 people sit at any one table at a time.
  • Track and Trace is required upon entry.
  • Face masks must be worn when inside and can only be removed whilst sat at the table.
  • Tables will be more spaced out to allow for socially distancing. Unfortunately, this will have the knock-on effect of reducing our serving capacity.
  • We would encourage people to also use our take-away service for food and drink. Orders can be placed via telephone, Facebook messenger or at the coffee shop counter.
  • All condiments will be now be provided as individual sachets.
  • We will continue to monitor, and may adapt or enhance this service, in line with any further government announcements.

Gym & Studio

  • Gym sessions and studio classes must be booked in advance by calling reception on 01665 721600. The gym is open daily 8 am – 9 pm.
  • Bookings can be made up to 7 days in advance, for a maximum of one session per day.
  • Gym equipment may be marked as “out of use” or spaced further apart to allow for social distancing.
  • Children aged 13-15 can use the gym but must be accompanied by a participating adult at all times (accompanying adult must be 18 or over)
  • Please arrive gym ready and do not use changing rooms. Lockers are provided upstairs outside the fitness studio if needed, personal belongings must not be taken into the gym. Please shower at home post workout.
  • Gym users should not work out face to face unless from the same household.
  • Equipment must be cleaned after use using spray and disposable paper roll provided, this is in addition to our own cleaning schedule.
  • A water dispenser will be available but please bring your own refillable bottle as cups will not be provided.
  • There will be no indoor studio classes running until further notice.
  • We anticipate that these will re-commence when indoor hospitality is permitted.

Health & Beauty

  • Our health & beauty department is open from Monday 12 April.

  • Our Health & Beauty products are available to purchase from our spa.
  • Our spa is open 7 days a week with 2 late evenings on a Wednesday & Thursday.
  • Our therapists wear PPE and we ask that all clients wear a mask during their treatments.
  • We will contact you 24 hours before your appointment to carry out a COVID19 check.
  • We are taking clients temperatures upon arriving for their treatments.
  • All appointments must be booked with 24 hours notice.
  • We are unable to accept walk-in appointments.
  • We are taking 50% deposit upon booking.

Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam Room.

  • All swim sessions must be booked in advance by calling Ocean Club reception on 01665 721600.
  • Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult at a ratio of 1 adult to 2 children. Children aged 8 – 15 must be accompanied by an adult at a ratio of 1 adult to 4 children. (Accompanying adult must be 18 or over)
  • Bookings can be made up to 7 days in advance, for a maximum of one session per day.
  • Please arrive on time and not before your booked session time. If you do arrive early you will need to wait outside.
  • Pool access will be restricted to a maximum of 7 people at 15-minute intervals and there will be no spectating therefore everyone booked must swim.
  • Contact name, mobile number and email address will be required on booking.
  • To prevent cross contamination there will be no floats or pool toys provided however you can bring your own small toys i.e. dive sticks and swim aids (Balls, snorkels and flippers are NOT permitted)
  • The jacuzzi is open to adults aged 16 and over, and maximum capacity will be one person at a time, or up to four from the same household.
  • The sauna and steam room will re-open on 17 May.
  • To ensure time in changing rooms is limited please arrive swim ready if possible. For hygiene reasons you will be required to shower before swimming, after swimming please either shower at home or keep showering time to a minimum.
  • Hairdryers will be provided however please keep drying time to a minimum
  • In the interests of hygiene lost property will be kept for 24 hours before being thrown away.
  • Swimming slots will be reduced during swimming lessons.
  • Pool session times: The pool is open daily 8am to 9pm, please contact the Ocean Club reception on 01665 721600 for up-to-date session times.

Around the Park

  • Please maintain social distancing, following the most current government guidelines.
  • Your thoughtfulness and temperance will be reassuring to any locals who may be apprehensive about visitors returning to the area.

The Play Area

  • Parents are responsible for supervising children, including hand hygiene routines and ensuring social distancing.
  • Parents should not permit children to enter the play area unaccompanied, or when it is already occupied by enough children that social distancing cannot be observed.
  • Parents should report any concerns to the Park Reception.
