Access Statement for Seafield Caravan Park

We strive to ensure that all visitors can enjoy the accommodation, amenities and surroundings within Seafield. Our aim is to assist you in any way possible and if you require assistance whilst planning your stay, or while you are actually visiting us we will be pleased to help you.

Pre-Arrival

We cater for touring caravans and motor homes, holiday homes for hire and privately owned static caravans.

We have an easily accessible website and our brochure for holiday home hire and touring pitches is clear and concise, we can post a copy of this access statement if required.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

The Park Reception area has a tarmac parking area. Once registered at reception guests have to access the park via a barrier operated by a key code touch pad or a barrier access card.

There is a private tarmac driveway at the front of each holiday home. Touring pitches also have a separate private tarmac driveway.

Our leisure Club, Ocean Club, has a tarmac car park with 3 separate disabled parking bays.

Main Entrance & Reception

Access to reception is directly at the entrance to the park. There is a ramped access to the Reception for access with a wheelchair. The Reception doorway has ample access for a wheelchair.

There is seating available in our Reception. Accessible parking bays are outside reception for use whilst in reception. Tourist Information available in Reception.

Office hours are Monday – Sunday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm (Times vary in winter).

Public Areas – General

Tarmac roads service all parts of the caravan park and speed ramps are placed around the park – Speed limit on the park is restricted to 5 mph.

Many of the roads on the park are designed to be dead ends, to discourage people from driving around gaining speed. There are benches placed around the park.

Waste disposal points are located throughout the park, recycling facilities available at entrance to the park with clearly labelled bins. The wheelie bins are 1.25 metre in height.

Public Areas – shower, laundry & toilet block

The park has a toilet block near to the entrance and touring pitches. The path leading to the toilet block is a level concrete path.

There is separate disabled shower and washroom facilities compete with shower, sink, toilet with grab handles.

There is one front loading washing machine and one front loading dryer. There is one top loading spinner.

The washing up sinks are 90cm in height. Tokens for machines are purchased from Park Reception or Ocean Club.

Touring Area

Touring pitches all have hard-standing with hard standing level awning grids. All pitches are fully serviced super pitches.

Chemical disposal point is 95cm in height and is adjacent to the toilet block.

Ocean Club – Leisure Facilities

The Ocean Club is fully D.D.A. compliant. Entrance to Ocean Club is level with no ramps.

Pool depth is 1.2m (4ft) and is 20m in length. Pool access is down 4 steps with handrail. We also have a disabled hoist if needed.

Reception desk and coffee shop counter have lowered counter tops. Disabled toilets, shower and changing facilities are available.

3 Disabled parking bays available at entrance to Ocean Club.

General

Nearest Public payphone is located at bottom of main public car park. Assistance dogs are welcome. Nearest bus stop is 500 metres in centre of village. Maps of the park are available at Park Reception.

If Emergency services are required please dial 999 and inform them of your plot number, barrier code and if possible for someone to meet them at the barrier to avoid any delay in assisting the patient.
